Rivers, whether you're paddling, studying or even swimming rivers are one of the worlds best playgrounds.
Rivers are wonderful! With their rocks, the fresh water, the greenery that surrounds them rivers are great. You can play for hours without getting bored. If you have lots of trees and greenery around them you can make the best rope swings. Rafting down the river is great fun especially with a springer spaniel. You can shove him off in the rapid parts so you have more room to hold on. You can pull him back on and let him soak you. So many exciting things to do with your local river.
But if your local river is a dump with litter and concrete banks surrounded by civilization. Then you have your problem.
